A business day is every day of the week except Saturday, Sunday, and any other day which is a federal legal holiday. Though the definition of a business day varies by region and it depends on the local workweek. The length of a business day also varies in different countries and usually, a business day consists of 1 day, 2 days, 3 days, 4 days, 3 to 5 days, or 7 to 10 days.

1. Business Day Length
A business day is considered from Monday through Friday and from 9 am to 5 pm local time. So if you order something midday on Monday and if it says you will get your product within one business day then you can expect to get the product on Tuesday. However, if you order the product on Friday then you will get it on Monday because Saturday and Sunday aren’t the business day. So if you order Friday then basically it will take three days to get the product.
2. Business Days Lengths
From Monday to Friday, two business days could range from 2 normal days or 48 hours. It could be any two days from Monday to Friday skipping the Saturday and Sunday. But if the 2 business days start from Friday then it would be next Monday. You have to exclude Saturday and Sunday as they are not business days.
3. Business Days Lengths
Usually, three business days mean 3 calendar days on which the business is officially carried on. So if the business day starts from Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday then it will be three consecutive days from Monday to Friday. But if the business day starts from Thursday then the three business days will be carried to the next week as Saturday and Sunday are not business days. So it will take at least 5 days to complete the 3 business days if it starts from Thursday or Friday.
4. Business Days Lengths
Usually, 4 business days means 32 work hours or office hours. However, it can be a maximum of 96 hours total and it can be within a week or spread into two weeks. So 4 business days means any day of the week excluding Saturday and Sunday. If you have ordered any product or service on Monday then it will be within Thursday of the same week. But if the 4 business days start from Wednesday then it would be Monday of the next week and in total it will be 6 days including Saturday and Sunday.
5. 3 – 5 Business Days Lengths
A business day is a weekday so 3-5 Business days are the days excluding the weekends. So if you have ordered something on Wednesday then it could take 5 to 7 days including Saturday and Sunday. But if your 3 – 5 business days start from Monday then you can expect the delivery between Wednesday to Friday of the same week. From Tuesday, three business days would be Friday and five business days would be next Tuesday.
6. 7 – 10 Business Days Lengths
If the weekdays are Saturday and Sunday, then 7 business days from Monday will be Wednesday of the next week. Similarly, 10 business days from Monday will be the Monday of the upper week. You have to add two extra days (Saturday, Sunday) to count the 7 business days and four extra days (2 Saturdays, 2 Sundays) to count 10 business days.
