Most of us know that Walmart has a 30-day return policy, but did you know that this also applies to a lot of used products? Customers get some peace of mind when they buy a mattress from them because if it’s not working out with their old one, they can return their mattress in exchange for another or even just get money back. But is this the true case for television returns? We’ve provided detailed insights into Walmart return policy in TVs below and please feel free to have your say in the comments!
Walmart TV Return Policy 2022
When you buy a new TV set on sale at Walmart, you might get it home, take off the packaging, and decide that’s not the type of TV you wanted. If your Walmart receipt is still within its original return policy period, no problem! Just bring the item back to Walmart within 30 days of purchase in good condition (with all original accessories) and they’ll give you a full refund. But if you lost your receipt or just didn’t have it to begin with, there are other ways for you to go about initiating a return.
Can You Return A TV To Walmart Past The 30 Day Window?
As we all know, TVs you purchase at Walmart may not always be just that. Sometimes they need a little extra love. In this case, one of the options open to you is to return your TV to Walmart. However, there is a deadline on when you have to make this TV return (and yes 30-days is the deadline). Failure to meet that deadline may result in having your return denied!
If a Walmart store refuses your return past 30 days, you can always escalate the return and request to talk to Walmart’s head of sales (a.k.a. the sales department manager). If this approach still doesn’t result in getting you what you need or make them agree to accept your return, one strategy would be to politely explain that if they deny you again, you will be filing a formal report with Walmart corporate about how the store is not meeting customer standards and criteria for returns at that location.
If a head office representative was aware of less than satisfactory customer treatment from its location stores, it might result in getting that location’s management to bend over backwards just so its customers will not go elsewhere!
Can I Return A TV To Walmart Without The Box?
Yes, Walmart customers who return televisions without their original box or without all of the original packaging will be given a full refund or exchange as long as they have proof of purchase, are within 30 days of purchase, and the television is in its original condition. Additionally, Walmart allows you to return an opened tv if it has not been damaged or used. For more specifics about returning televisions at Walmart with an opened box or no box at all, see my full guide here.
Can You Return Refurbished TVs To Walmart?
For appliances that are returned by a customer, Walmart treats all products the same so it makes no difference if an appliance is brand new or refurbished. If a customer is not fully satisfied, they may return a product within 30 days of purchase provided they have a receipt.
Walmart Return Policy on TVs With Receipt
If you would like to return your TV, Walmart offers in-store and online return options. If possible, while completing your transaction online at walmart.com, enter the product SKU and if it’s an item eligible for returns to a store with a barcode, then choose that as your destination so that both there and the associates at check out will be aware of the setup. No matter where you choose to return your TV, either by bringing it into any Walmart store or shipping it back to customer service from within the United States via UPS Ground Service or FedEx Ground Service – please make sure all of the original merchandise is included in a properly sealed box. Note that if you do go with in-store return option please keep in mind that you can only get money back for items purchased through their website and not for those purchased through other channels such as over the phone.
If you would like to return your TV, log onto Walmart.com and print a prepaid label. You’ll be told the nearest shipping location for you to ship it back – typically a nearby post office or FedEx location. If you do not know how to locate the nearest location, phone 1-800-Walmart and a representative will assist you. Once your item is received, it should take approximately three weeks for a refund to be processed. You can track the status of your return here .
Can You Return A TV To Walmart Without A Receipt?
Yes. The good thing is that Walmart allow customers to return televisions without receipts. All you have to do is ask your store manager and they will help you with it. But basically, there are only a few conditions that need to be met. You must not be past the 30-day return window period because the case with any product, once that time period is up, the buyer loses all their rights to their money back. And secondly, you really have to bring in the television along with anything that came with it as well as other things like your original bank statement and ID which we know makes things so easier for everyone when trying to get a refund for an item!
Can You Return A Damaged TV To Walmart?
This would depend entirely on the scenario on hand. For example, if your television is damaged immediately after it leaves out of the box, this could be because of poor workmanship on the part of Walmart staff or bad handling during transit. They will evaluate your claim and determine if this is the case and what action needs to be taken.
If you break a television that is originally sold by Walmart, it is not likely that you will be able to bring the item back for a refund or return even if you have a Walmart Protection Plan. Additionally, if the TV was damaged due to mishandling during set up or installation, then it may not be covered under the plan either.
So, when buying TVs at Walmart or other large retailers, as an act of good faith and a courtesy to your fellow customers please make sure you double-check your work before leaving a checkout lane. Note: The first sentence regarding misuse and mishandling can now be omitted if it is felt that the reader may already know this information or understand why we included this sentence (i.e., they were the ones who dropped their TV).
Can You Return An Opened TV To Walmart?
As a general policy, if you’re unsatisfied with your TV purchase and are looking to return it, it’s absolutely crucial that you do so in original packaging as close to brand new as possible. You should aim to take great care of the TV set box in which you purchased it from until you’re sure there won’t be any need for a refund or exchange.
If the TV is purchased outside an official retailer like Best Buy then chances of getting a full refund or store credit may be reduced – because smaller retailers have less influence over rules and regulations surrounding returns on products bought online.
If you happen to return a TV with a damaged box, you might be eligible for a replacement or refund provided that the box’s original barcode is still undamaged and readable.
The above is a snippet of the Walmart Return Policy that has been available on their website. In short, they will refund or exchange any returned product within 90 days of purchase and allow you to return products in many different ways depending on what is preferred. The best way to make sure things go smoothly is by checking the item thoroughly and quickly returning it with either no box (as long as it is still in new condition) or in its original box without a receipt depending on the method of return selected (such as online) so that you do not get charged fees. Hopefully, this information helps make things clear so you can get back your money quickly!
