What is Ace Hardware Return Policy?
Ace Hardware has a 30-day return policy on all products sold at its stores. If you’re interested in returning an item, here’s what you should know about the Ace Hardware return policy: * Products must be returned in their original packaging and boxes; * Ensure that the original instruction booklet or information packet is included; * You will need to provide a photo ID with your purchase receipt upon request; * Because it’s such a large retailer, far too many items are returned without being used. Please make sure unused items are still in the condition they were sold before attempting to make an Ace Hardware return.
How to Return at Ace Hardware
Ace Hardware Return Policy is designed to provide you with the option of returning a product online or in-store either. There are a few steps that you would have to follow and the return process will get completed. Below, you’ll find the detailed steps to return online and In-Store:
Ace Hardware Return In-store
Ace Hardware is known to have an excellent return policy, which is open both in-store and online. If you’ve bought a product from either the store or the website and it isn’t quite up to snuff, you can return it to a nearby store at your convenience using this process. You have to follow these few steps to return a product In-Store:
- Take your receipt to the nearest store.
- Place the item in its original packaging.
- You’ll be needing to carry a valid photo ID proof.
- Once all the paperwork and your product’s condition is checked, then your return will be successful.
Ace Hardware Return Online
When ordering products online, there are several methods for returning items. One can either complete the return procedure through their web browser or call customer service to complete the form by phone. All returns must have a packing slip that is provided in many different ways (email, order confirmation email, printout from a shipping company’s website). To help ensure that you get your refund as quickly as possible after receiving your return, make sure to indicate on all forms of correspondence when you expect to receive your credit back. Follow these steps to return your product online:
- Firstly, log in to your account on their website.
- Select the item you want to return.
- You need to give a valid reason why you’re returning the item.
- Pack the item in its original packaging.
- Place the return label on the package.
- Mail it to the nearest Ace Hardware store or place a request at the store to pick up the package from your address.
Ace Hardware Return Policy Exceptions
This return policy does have some exceptions that specify that there still may be some specific products that they will not give any returns, exchanges, or refunds over some other specific products due to some particular reasons. For example, any type of paint bought online can not be returned in any condition unless it’s a health risk or a defect on the paint itself. Gas-powered outdoor equipment and other outdoor equipment are also not allowed returns or exchanges once the oil is poured in it, even if you wash it off properly to fit your own standards.
If you want to return an assembled product, you can take them back to the Ace Hardware store nearest to your home. The store may charge a 15% service fee for dismantling and putting them away correctly again. They will not charge for incorrect or damaged products.
According to Ace Hardware’s return policy, there are many items that you can neither return online nor in-store; it’s required by law if they contain certain elements like food, electronic products or car parts. Although, if any of these goods are delivered to you damaged or incorrectly, there is a small possibility of getting your money back…but this is rare.
Ace Hardware Exchange Policy
A lot of people wonder if they can exchange a product online as well as in-store, as sometimes products may be unavailable online. The truth is yes! A product can be exchanged for another at an In-Store or an Online location – provided it’s within 60 days from the date of purchase. As a matter of how to Exchange, you should follow the standard process before you make a new order – our customer service staff will be happy to work with any customers directly who either do not have documentation or need more information about their return options. We hope that this assists our customers with any questions regarding Returns and Exchanges!
To exchange a product bought in-store, you will need to take your product, its purchase receipt or slip as well as the original instruction booklet and your valid government-issued photo ID to the nearest store. If the store manager approves, then you will be able to exchange your purchase for another. The product that goes back on sale has to be unused and must still have its original packaging when you take it back into the store.
Ace Hardware Refund Policy
Ace Hardware has a pretty standard three to five working days refund window which excludes the time taken by your return delivery service. Although there are no country restrictions, you must purchase your hardware with the intention of using it and not reselling it – otherwise Ace reserves the right to charge you restocking fees and deny you any refund.
They’ll charge a 15% restocking fee for the time and costs to take apart products that came as a ‘kit’ or have pieces attached to them. We will deduct this from your refund on any returns. If you return a damaged product, none of these fees can be deducted from your refund. The shipping charges are also deducted from the refund amount you receive. Reward points cannot be refunded if you use them during checkout. If you found that you received the wrong product, however, then we will happily refund your money in full (including shipping) once it’s returned back to us.
Ace Hardware Return Policy Covid-19 Response
Ace Hardware stated that they have taken precautionary measures in their store to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. They provide sanitizer and follow a Covid protocol, created by Ace Hardware themselves, for safety of all the customers & associates. They do regular safety checks with all the associates that are working with Ace Hardware. Although, some delays may be experienced in processing time due to the pandemic, but we assure you that your packages would be shipped right out to you!
The Ace Hardware return policy is very simple and straightforward. Credit cards are accepted if they are in their original condition if no alterations to the product or damage have occurred as a result of misuse or accidental damage within 30 days from the receipt of merchandise. You can also return items with a receipt for exchange or refund within 90 days of purchase at any Ace Hardware Store. Please make sure when using your credit card that you have authorized it for Internet use and follow the steps outlined on their website to initiate a return in case it doesn’t automatically appear on your statement.
